Thank you so much for your response. :-) Thank you too, for suggesting to get samples! I will do that. We've have noticed, as you said, online screen colors look different and we've found about six yellows we like but each has different tint. I thought yellow would be an easy color.

You have a beautiful kitchen. Thanks!

DJ,

It's Benjamin Moore Hawthorne Yellow, HC-4. We had Sherwin Williams copy it since it was cheaper there. They already had the formula in their computer so they didn't have to scan it, and I think it was a good match. We used the "Duration" paint, which is supposed to be so durable and easy to clean that we were able to use a matte finish.

I won't vouch for how the color looks on your screen, but it really is a nice yellow. Not too bright, but not overloaded with orange or green.

I highly recommend getting a small paint sample and putting some on your wall before you commit. We tried 7 greys before we found the right one and it was worth it.

Hi!

I have been searching the internet for yellow kitchen paint suggestions and came across your blog in my search. Could you please tell me the brand and name of your beautiful sunny yellow?

I have painted my kitchen what I thought was a light "sunny" yellow but it has more of a brown/orange tint. I don't dislike it but I don't love it either. I want a nice sunny, buttery yellow. Your yellow is beautiful, similar to what I am looking for! :-)

Thanks so much!
