A Little Thing

Samantha read her first word today.  She sounded out, “rat.”  Actually, I’m not sure she could reproduce it.  It might have been a bit of luck, but I’m going to count it anyway.  That way, I can say that our daughter could read before she was potty trained.

    Very cool! Morgan did the same thing, just before her third birthday. So amazing to me that a child that young could figure this concept out. (It took Ryan a bit longer, and that’s okay, too!)

    Jenn, it’s all thanks to Starfall, and therefore, by proxy, to you. And yes, it is ok to take longer. Sam sure is taking longer on a lot of other things!
