I'm glad things went well and you all had fun. You did a great job handling the conflicts that came up. The age difference can be difficult for both kids. With the older kids, it's hard to remember sometimes that they are still just kids, and don't understand the younger child's point of view. Sam is at a great age to start learning those problem-solving skills. And yes, I must concur with the whole noise/mess increases exponentially theory. That has been my experience as well.
